Beschreibung :
Prior to the inception of "Barnsdale archery mfg", my wife Sharon and I worked for Ben Pearson Archery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, from April,1983 to October,1984.

While at Ben Pearson, I spent 2-3 months in each department to learn all I could about the workings of archery production. During this time Sharon worked in the customer service department. After 16 months, I was in charge of warranty repair, quality control and the arrow department. During this time, I also worked with R&D
on many prototypes.

In the fall of 1984, I was offered a job with American Archery in the north woods of Wisconsin. Sharon and I jumped at the chance to move "UP NORTH" and be part of a new company. We instantly became fast friends with new owner, Ken Laird. While overseeing the everyday operations and purchasing duties, I was also hands on in all aspects of quality control. Problems with some of the limb presses prompted me to hire Dickie Roberts to help us achieve a better limb quality. Dickies' expertise is still evident in the way I manufacture limbs today.

In 1986, I left the archery industry for a few years. I was still very active in the archery community and continued to help and shoot for Ken Laird.

In 1990, I decided there might be a niche market in supplying custom limbs for retail customers. I started by designing a new limb that became known as a double recurve. As word spread, as it always will in archery circles, I started getting some orders. The first year I sold 53 pairs of custom limbs. During that first year, Bob
Kaufhold, owner of Full Adjust Archery, called and asked if I could make him some competition crossbow limbs. I did and the first year I built him 175 pairs. I still produce these limbs and they hold most of the competitive crossbow records to date.

In 1992, with new customers McPherson of Alabama, Bowman Equipment, as well as Native American Archery of Oklahoma, the shop in my garage at home became too small. I rented 1/3 of a 2250 square foot building in Iron Mountain, MI. As my customer base and demand grew, I expanded to 1/2 of the building, then 2/3 and in
2002 I took the whole building. We have added automated machines to produce higher quality limbs in larger numbers. We have a great work force that can continue to produce high quality limbs that are found on only the best bows in the industry.

In 2003, I decided that I wanted to produce my own bow. My good friend and longtime customer, Loyd Napier, found that he could no longer continue to manufacture the "RED MAN" bow. I had shot this bow for over 12 years. What better foundation to start my new bow line. I purchased the remaining inventory, fixtures and tooling.

We have made considerable changes in the bow. We have reduced the weight, finished and polished the riser and components to much higher standards. We have introduced the "TRI-STAR Wheel". I have also made a 38" hunting bow.

Sharon and I are excited about our bow line and what the coming year will bring.
We look forward to producing the very best bow in the industry for you.
